Family groups – why leave anyone out?
A pre-session consultation will take place by telephone to discuss the style of images you require and to answer any questions you may have.
Where will the session take place?
Small family groups of up to four people can be photographed at the studio but larger groups are best on location, usually at a park or location that has meaning for you.
How long will the session take?
Allow two to three hours depending on the size of the group.
What do I need to bring?
Decide before the shoot what look you are going for. Think about where the portraits will be displayed – if the room is formal then its best to ensure that clothing is coordinated. If the room is less formal and more ‘family’ keep this in mind as well.
If there are young children in the group be sure to bring some snacks!
Hair Aware
Get haircuts at least a week before the shoot it might take a few days to grow into (or fond of) especially if the scissors went amiss. This buffer allows for some growth, tweaks and perfections to the hairstyle before your session.
Chill
Calm your own nerves – relaxed adults have more fun and this will help kids become comfortable for the best shots. Build up the session to children as it really is a time for fun and togetherness. No need for bribes when the event itself is the reward!
Pets Allowed
If your shoot is on location and you wish to bring your pet be sure to get some brisk exercise before coming – this will hopefully ensure a calmer canine
