Little people with big personalities.
A pre-session consultation will take place by telephone where we can discuss the shoot and the detail about what will happen on the day.
It is important for your child to get to know me and to feel comfortable before I start taking photos – I will give them time to adjust before introducing a camera. If you have chosen a studio session bringing a favourite toy to act as our ‘model’ to start the session off will help break the ice.
I give very little direction, preferring to capture your child’s natural emotion but I do have a variety of silly voices, jokes, bunny ears and games as part of my repertoire – if the truth be known I always have a great time!.
Where will the session take place?
The session can take place at my studio where I can create contemporary high-key portraits (with a bright white background) or images against a selection of coloured backdrops. Alternatively you may wish to visit a favourite location or park where there is more space for your child to play in a variety of settings.
How long will the session take?
These sessions usually last up to 2 hours.
What do I need to bring?
Bring a selection of clothing, if you have more than one child clothes in similar colours work very well. It is best to avoid ‘busy’ highly patterned clothes as these will draw the viewer’s attention away from the subject. Items with logos may date the image and you may wish to avoid these.
Other things to consider
Please bring snacks and drinks for your child, especially if the shoot is on location.
